(JTDC)
Background
The Johor Talent Development Council (JTDC) serves as the premier One-Stop Centre for comprehensive talent solutions in Johor, strategically created to address the evolving talent needs of the region.
Chaired directly by Dato’ Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Bin Hamidi, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia and co-chaired by YAB Dato’ Onn Hafiz Bin Ghazi, the Menteri Besar of Johor, JTDC represents a significant collaboration among seven federal ministries, eight public universities based in Johor and more than 100 TVET and private education institutions.

To position Johor as a leading state with a robust, industry-ready workforce, propelling the region towards developed status by 2030.
Mission
As the epicenter of talent cultivation, JTDC orchestrates a seamless synergy between government agencies, top-tier educational institutions, and industry giants, ensuring that Johor’s workforce is not just prepared for the future-but defining it. By aligning cutting edge training, workforce intelligence, and strategic recruitment with the evolving demands of high-value industries. JTDC is building a legacy of opportunity, prosperity, and innovation that will propel Johor to a new heights on the world stage.
Objectives
- Bringing Education and Training into Line with Industry Needs
Reorganizing training and educational initiatives to guarantee that graduates have the skills needed by the industry. - One-Stop Expert Labor Center
Serving as a major hiring ground for competent workers and working with the Invest Malaysia Facilitation Centre Johor (IMFC-J) to draw in investments. - Partnership between Industry and Education
Strengthening relationships between companies and academic institutions to enhance career possibilities and job placement. - Data Collection & Analysis for Workers
Using workforce data collection and analysis to make sure Johor’s talent development plans meet the needs of the sector going forward.
