Visited Two Temporary Evacuation Centers in Pontian District
After several days of heavy rain, four areas in Johor have been hit by disaster, and the flood victims have been gradually moved to temporary evacuation centers. So far, the number of flood victims in Johor has exceeded 2,000 people.
This morning, I rushed to two temporary evacuation centers in Pontian district, namely SK Seri Bukit Panjang and SK Seri Bunian, to inspect the flood situation as well as operations at those evacuation centers.
According to Pontian County Officials and local State Legislators, flood relief work in Pontian district is going smoothly, and water levels in some areas are also beginning to decline.
Hopefully no heavy rain today so flood victims can get home as soon as possible.
